What is Salsa Fundamentals?

Salsa Fundamentals is a curriculum that was developed with the beginner (two left feet) student in mind!  We use a conceptual-progressive style of teaching, which means that we break the dance down into basic concepts and progressively move you up to “just dancing!”  Ultimately we want you to be comfortable enough to develop your own flow, style, and flair, which in turn will give you the results you desire.  In a nutshell, we want you to have a great time learning the dance and dancing, instead of frustrating yourself with learning how to dance just like us.

Our teaching style…

Instructors are patient, supportive, attentive, and most of all fun.  We want you to understand what goes into dancing Modern Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Guajira, but ultimately we want you to feel comfortable dancing.  Since we use a curriculum you can expect to get clear progressive instruction each week and you can personally measure results as you go along.  Still we can only give you the tools you need, like everything else we learn in life you have to practice in order to get better.

Other Fun Facts and Opportunities for Practice…

You do not need a partner to take classes with us.  If you do come as a couple we have respectful and mindful ways of getting you to dance with others.  We rotate everyone in the class so that you can feel different styles and learn how to adjust.  Weekly and monthly socials are offered to assist in your journey to learn to dance. We always have a good time.
